NCI Fundraise for Local Charity Carrick Mind
NCI Technologies, providers of IT support for business and schools has recently fundraised, through their charity change box, just over £50 for local Penryn charity Carrick Mind. Carrick Mind offers support to anyone in the Falmouth, Truro and surrounding areas who is experiencing or recovering from mental ill health, for example depression or anxiety. Available services for support include:
- Community Café
- Allotment Group
- University Group Falmouth/Exeter
- Yoga, walking and creative mind groups
- Young Persons Activity Group (18-25 years)
- Young Persons Forest School (18-25 years)
Grateful to receive the surprise donation Jo Boulton, Project co-ordinator for Carrick Mind, thanked NCI Technologies:
“We were so surprised at the kind and generous donation from NCI! It was fantastic and we really appreciate it! We have recently lost our NHS funding so times are really difficult.
We offer a variety of wellbeing groups in the Falmouth and Truro area. These groups offer recovery focused support to people experiencing mental health problems in our local community.
This donation will help fund our wellbeing groups. We receive lots of positive feedback from the people we engage with and the groups help people in so many ways.
There is so little support locally that we feel our services are vital! In the current climate we rely on donations more than ever, it really helps us to keep offering support to people.”
Joanna Williams Marketing Graphic Designer at NCI Technologies on behalf of everyone at NCI commented:
“We are really happy we could raise this money to help such a worthwhile local charity that provides much needed support in the community. We can’t wait to see the great results our contribution can achieve"
